Who is responsible

This website is operated by Susanne Bastings, trading as Gypsy in Sneakers, based in the Netherlands. Contact for anything privacy-related: contact@gypsyinsneakers.com.

What this website collects

As little as technically possible. This site sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from this website itself.

• Server logs. The site is hosted by Netlify (Netlify Inc., USA). Like any web host, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Netlify's privacy policy.
• Consent choice. If you make a choice in the cookie banner, that choice is stored in your own browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device.
• Email. If you email me, I receive what you send and use it only to reply.

External services you may choose to use

Some links on this site lead to external platforms. Data you enter there is processed by those platforms under their own privacy policies:

• Flodesk — my email list (Letters From The Road). Signing up happens on Flodesk's page; they process your email address on my behalf.
• Stan Store — my digital products and expeditions. Purchases happen on Stan's platform.
• YouTube, Instagram, Facebook — links to my channels open those platforms.

Nothing loads from these services while you simply browse this website.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Since this site stores virtually nothing about you, the practical place to exercise these rights is with the external services above, or by emailing me for anything I hold (such as email correspondence).
