Wairinding Hills:
A Picture-Perfect View Prepare to be amazed by the stunning views of Wairinding Hills. As you reach the hilltop, you'll be greeted by rolling green landscapes stretching as far as you can see. Capture beautiful photos of the hills, the horses and the beautiful sunset. The golden hour at Wairinding Hills is especially magical, with the sun painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. It's a view that will take your breath away.
Minggit Waterfall:
Minggit waterfall is probably one of the most remote waterfalls of Sumba. It takes a 3 hour bike ride through what I like to call ‘The savanna of Sumba’ - it truly feels like you are transported to South Africa. When you arrive at the waterfall it is a steep hike down, but nevertheless so worth it! The waterfall consist of 3 levels all filled with natural pools filled with blue water. Make sure to bring your camera and swimwear because this waterfall is pure fun!
Walakiri Beach:
Walakiri is one of the most beautiful beaches of Sumba. It is especially well known for the beautiful sunset when the sky transforms into a breathtaking palette of colors and the Mangrove trees reveal themselves because of low tide. When the sun sets, the combination of the color of the twilight sky and the silhouette of mangrove trees looks truly artistic and photogenic to be photographed from all directions.
Tanggedu Waterfall:
Tanggedu Waterfall is called the Grand Canyon of East Sumba by the visitors of this waterfall and I really understand why. Along the way to the waterfall spot, tourists will see an amazing view of savanna and traditional houses. Arriving at Tanggedu area, tourists will be greeted with a beautiful panorama of the Grand Canyon of East Sumba. It is called like this because the rock cliffs and the water flow are very similar to Grand Canyon in Arizona, United States of America. Unlike most waterfalls, the water flows from low altitude. Only about 8 meters with natural pools below.
Waimarang Waterfall:
Dive into Nature's Wonderland and unleash your inner adventurer and embark on a journey to Waimarang Waterfall, a true natural wonder. Waimarang Waterfall, is a beautiful blue lagoon in the middle of he jungle. Marvel at its beautiful flow and take a dip in the blue natural pool at the bottom. Waimarang Waterfall is a hidden paradise that will leave you feeling refreshed and connected to nature.
Conclusion: Congratulations! You've just uncovered the best experiences in East Sumba. From the breathtaking views of Wairinding Hills to the refreshing oasis of Tanggedu Waterfall, the serene beauty of Walakiri Beach, the hidden gem of Minggit Waterfall, and the captivating wonder of Waimarang Waterfall, East Sumba offers an array of adventures for every traveler.
