ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND LAGOON ADVENTURE

Fly into Tambolaka Airport from Denpasar to kick off your Sumba adventure! After arriving, we’ll visit Weepeneba Lagoon, a hidden gem tucked away in nature, followed by Waikuri Lagoon, a stunningly clear and serene oasis. Settle in at Ella Hotel in Southwest Sumba and enjoy a group dinner as we prepare for an unforgettable week ahead.

DAY 2: RICE FIELDS AND WATERFALLS

After breakfast, we’ll transition to our next accommodation, LaCasaDeLuna in West Sumba. Our first stop will be Waikacura Ricefield, where flowing water and small waterfalls create a serene and picturesque setting. Then, we’ll hike to the Lokomboro Waterfall, an adventurous hike and waterfall spot surrounded by lush greenery.

DAY 3: BEACHES AND LOCAL LIFE

Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in both the natural beauty and culture of Sumba. We’ll start the day at Watu Bela Beach, known for its pristine sands, rock caves, and dramatic cliffs. Later, we’ll visit Tarung Village, a vibrant community offering a glimpse into authentic local life.

DAY 4: A DAY OF EPIC WATERFALLS

Get ready for a full day of waterfall adventures! We’ll hike to two of Sumba’s most breathtaking spots: Lapopu Waterfall and Matayangu Waterfall. Both are surrounded by incredible landscapes, perfect for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. Return to LaCasaDeLuna for a well-earned rest.

DAY 5: HIDDEN FALLS AND HILLTOP SUNSETS

After breakfast, we’ll move to our next base at Padadita Hotel in East Sumba. Our day begins with an off-the-beaten-path journey to Minggit Waterfall, a hidden treasure waiting to be explored. Later, we’ll head to Ndapayami Hills or Wairinding Hills, where sweeping 360° views create the perfect backdrop for a magical sunset.

DAY 6: WATERFALL CANYONS AND HORSE SAVANNAS

Start the day with a visit to the jaw-dropping Tanggedu Waterfall, often called the “Grand Canyon of East Sumba.” In the afternoon, we’ll explore the stunning Puru Kambera Beach & Savannah, where you can swim, take in the views, and witness Sumba’s famous free-roaming horses.

DAY 7: CULTURE AND FAREWELL

Our final day begins with a visit to a local market, where you’ll experience the vibrant daily life of Sumba. Then, we’ll learn about the traditional Ikat weaving process, a skill passed down through generations. Afterward, it’s time to say our goodbyes as we transfer you to Tambolaka Airport for your flight back to Denpasar.
