I’ve been dreaming years of visiting The Philippines! It was so high on my bucket list, mainly because of the blue waters, remote islands and endless palmtrees 🌴 I wanted to sleep on remote islands overwin my fear of the ocean and do dozens of boat tours.

An yes I dived and snorkeled a lot and mostly conquered my ocean fear! It was a dream come true and it actually surpassed all my expectations. I can not wait to go back one day😍

Neither did I before I visited the Philippines! Did you actually know that bats in the Philippines can reach wingspans of 1.7 metres (5.5 ft)! *See my story for the size of the bats!* 😱

On our Philippines trip we visited one night the little town called Concepcion where thousands of large bats fly from one island to another! If you look closely in this picture you can spot them. This was such a magical experience and definitely a must so if you plan on visiting The Philippines 🇵🇭

I have been receiving some questions about how I manage to grow my instagram account and I though it might be a fun thing to share some tips with you! So save this post for later to make sure you won’t forget about these tips. ✅

⚡️Have 1 specific niche where you know a lot about. So if you are going to focus on travel in general you will have too many people to ‘compete’ with. Having a defined and narrow niche will lower the competition and help you show up more often on explore. 😁

⚡️CAPTIONS: write consistently about the same topics in your niche so Instagram can determine what’s the topic of your account. Also do NOT write short captions. Write longer captions and try to start a conversation!

⚡️Try to post at least once a day

⚡️ENGAGE: this is so important! Respond to your DM’s and like, comment and respond to other accounts! This often leads to new and supportive friendships ❤️

⚡️USE HASHTAGS: You can use 30 hashtags in your post, so make sure you use them all. Hashtags between 10k-500k are most ideal.

Since I’ve graduated I’ve been focussing on my goals and I already started seeing some results. I read in the book called ‘The power of self confidence’ that when things change inside you, things change around you. When you start to change your mindset and dedicate your existence to creating a life you’ll be seeing results sooner than you think.

Because I value positivity and self confidence so much I summed up the most valuable tips and quotes I received over the de last period of time.
.

✩ Health isn’t just what you’re eating. It’s what you’re thinking and what you’re saying.
.
✩ The secret to self confidence isn’t to stop worrying about what other people think, it’s to start caring about what you think. It’s to make your opinion more important than anyone else.

✩ No one can make you feel inferior without your consent

✩ The fears you don’t face, become your limits
.
.
✩ Be silly. Be fun. Be kind. Be different. Be crazy. Because life is too short to be anything but happy.

We all have dreams, some bigger or smaller than the others. But the most important thing is that we keep dreaming. And don’t let anyone talk you out of your dreams. I’ve had so many people who said that my dreams and goals were unrealistic. However, I never stopped believing in myself.

Know that you are going to accomplish incredible things, once you start believing in yourself. Thoughts become things. Once you write your dream down, it becomes a goal. A goal broken down in steps becomes a plan. And this plan followed by action becomes your reality.

So what is your dream? (Writing it down here is step one) Where do you want to be in 5 years? For me: I want to travel the world as a fulltime content creator.

For a long time I have been having a tough time with combining both my dreams (the urge to explore and travel the world) 🌞🌍 and my reality (my dear family and friends at home who I have to miss a lot of the time) 💔
.
.
Now that I graduated I want to move to Bali and follow my dreams. This has been my goal for so long and I can not wait for it to start. However, I don’t want to say to my loved ones I’ll leave again.
.
.
After a lot of conversations I realized how lucky I am to have a place called home where I have people who I love so deeply❤️ and where I can return any moment.
.
.
My urge to explore and spread my wings will not change, but I am sure that after all my trips, travels and living in foreign countries I can return to a place I love and call home
.
.
